Jan 11th - Feb 15th, 2020
Trai Anfield is renowned for her African photography safaris and wildlife photography workshops on five continents. Her photography has been featured in magazines, on the BBC and in galleries across Great Britain. She is actively involved with several conservation initiatives and donates 10% of her print sales to California-based ‘Gorilla Doctors’. She makes her home in Northumberland, England. This exhibition highlights her images of animals of Africa through the night in a four-part series called; Dusk ‘til Dawn.
Marie Tartar is a San Diego Photographer and world traveler who specializes in underwater and wildlife photography. She is a keen observer of nature and her work has been exhibited in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, the San Diego Museum of Natural History and the Birch Aquarium. In this exhibition she highlights a hidden world of eye-dazzling color in the underwater realm.
“We need the tonic of wildness... At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable, that land and sea be indefinitely wild, unsurveyed and unfathomed by us because unfathomable. We can never have enough of nature.” Henry David Thoreau
Anyone who is captivated by nature and wildlife Photography will be wholly engaged by this show and the lush prints on display by Anfield and Tartar.
