From the Director:
I have been a teacher of photography for more than 40 years but I have never stopped being a student of photography. To be willing to be a beginner, to fall down and then stand back up… that is what being a student is all about. We all stumble now and then, students and teachers alike.

The students in this show, be they High School or College, are all on an exploration. They are developing a sense of themselves and of the world around them. Each image in this show was made with heart and a burgeoning skill level.

It takes courage for a student (or anyone actually) to finish a photograph and get it up on a wall. So, it is up to us to lift them and reward them for their bravery. Our mission at the Photographer’s Eye is to inspire understanding of the art and craft of photography, and to encourage young people to follow their hearts and express themselves through making photographic images. We hope you too find inspiration with their efforts.

Remember to encourage every student you know to stand back up, push forward, and be open to the world. It’s a big world out there and there’s a lot to learn for all of us.

Gallery hours are Friday and Saturday, 11am-5pm OR you may make an appointment to view our exhibitions.

+Gallery visits for individuals or classes are also available by appointment.

+There is no charge to visit and there is free parking in front and behind the gallery space.
