Artist Statement:
I find bliss whenever I am in the wilderness, usually alone with my camera. What seems to take place is the erasure of “me” and a blending with whatever is present. It is nothing extraordinary - just a remarkable stillness and deep love. And always a gift.

The images here of are of three landscapes where this bliss has always found me - Yosemite, Big Sur, the Eastern Sierras. The tree in the pentych is an ancient juniper found at Olmstead Point in Yosemite. I regard it as a teacher and endeavor to visit it whenever I find myself of Tioga Road.
