Artist Statement:
While in Yosemite Valley last November I was struck by its intense quiet and intimacy - the intimate scenes, hidden in plain sight, that are nestled along the trails and often overlooked for the majesty of the roaring waterfalls and the granite monoliths that surround the valley. These are the tableaus of Yosemite, rich in silence and stillness, echoing the simple presence I am aware of when I stand before them.
