ARTIST STATEMENT: Crime Scenes has been a therapy project designed to lift the spirits of anyone discouraged about toxic politics and the precarious state of our global environment. Due to a dysthymic personality, no matter what I do to temper my thoughts, I see the glass as half empty. Trash collected along the beaches of Southern California looks better next to fresh flowers. Enjoy a laugh at left-behind Barbie Mermaid while I remind you to pick up after yourself. The words of experienced journalists when juxtaposed with colored paper could be the spoonful of sugar people need to acknowledge and remember hard truths. Better to look at pretty colors than to listen to someone rant.
