Mary Beth Klauer
Media: Archival Pigment Print on Vellum with Gold Leaf
Mary Beth’s roots remain in the Great Plains area of the Midwest where she was born and raised. She moved to California in 1969 after pursuing an education in psychology. Once she retired she was free to pursue photography which was always her passion. Much of her work has been centered on areas where she grew up and she recently completed a portfolio with infrared images of rural landscapes. Alternative photography has been a specific interest producing anything from platinum/palladium to anthotypes and orotones. She has won many awards and has been in solo and group exhibitions.
This image of the Serengeti was taken outside my tent while I was on an African safari. It is an archival pigment print printed on vellum and backed with gold leaf.
