ARTIST STATEMENT:
Home, to me, is the building i live in, and the ones on my property. Owning a home has always been but a dream. One that I considered partially unattainable given the zip code I grew up in. When that dream was realized last Fall, my life, and the lives of my family, changed for the better. There is no feeling like waking up under a roof that is not rented, and is actually ours. I was moved to capture some views of my land with my pinhole camera, and one with my digital camera. I made these images. paying careful attention to how the sun moves across my yard in late Spring.
