Artist Statement:
THE FREEDOM PROJECT
The Freedom Project explores what explicit and implicit freedoms are at risk during a Trump presidency. Prior to the election, the stripping of these freedoms was only theoretical. Now, three weeks into President Trump’s new term, we are watching human rights dissolve, and our constitutional protections stripped before our very eyes. The Freedom Project encourages Americans to evaluate these hard-won freedoms and prioritize them–above all else–during elections. Voting is a hard-won privilege not accessible to everyone, not only in America but also abroad. Voting got us in this situation, but it can also get us out! Register, get informed, and when the time comes, VOTE.
