ARTIST STATEMENT: Starter Home was my very first home built for me as a child by my Grandfather. A house constructed of leftover materials from his household projects and materials he procured curbside throughout the community. It was built with love and allowed me a sanctuary to let my active imagination keep me entertained. After I outgrew the house it became a place to store things…it still sits on the family property full of forgotten items but it still contains a lot of fond memories underneath the weathered exterior.
