ITEM 04 Donation by Lisa Brussell Title: Agapanthus Media: Gum bichromate printed over Cyanotype on Hahnemuhle Platinum Rag paper Print Size: 6"x8" Framed: 11"x14" Valued: $475 Starting Bid: $150 Artist Bio: After graduating from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a BA in philosophy, Lisa worked in the fields of calligraphy, book arts, and design. Inspired to hone those skills, she then earned a BFA from Art Center College of Design with a focus on graphic design and packaging. Lisa spent her career creating branding for consumer product goods. During this time, her role behind the camera was an art director -- not a photographer. She missed having full control over the images -- clicking the camera shutter herself and watching the magic reveal her image as the print develops. In recent years, Lisa began exploring the sublime beauty of contemporary images printed using historic photographic techniques. Mostly self-taught, she experiments with various photographic printing methods. These handmade printing processes give depth and character to her botanical, landscape, and street portrait photography. Lisa Brussell Insta: @lisabrussell
