Wildcat Hill
ARTIST STATEMENT:
Nestled on Wildcat Hill in Carmel California, I had the opportunity to visit Edward Weston’s former home where he lived and worked for over 20 years. These objects were found and shot using a film camera on the land and around the rustic cabin where his original darkroom still exists.
Inspired by this darkroom where he worked and produced his iconic photos, I printed these images with hand-made platinum palladium paper, exposed in sunlight and developed in my darkroom.
