This is a view from my home studio window on a misty morning, matching my mood during COVID-19 stay at home orders. The atmosphere seems surreal, fraying at the edges, the neighborhood as we know it, place as we know it, ldquo;normalityrdquo; as we know it, all are disappearing visually in the image, and metaphorically in real life. Shooting through the mesh screen emphasizes a dizzying pattern, contributing to the sense of disorientation. The leaning perspective of the wooden electrical pole hints at the feeling of instability.
