ARTIST STATEMENT: After a month of quarantine and isolated with illness, I began to long for the ocean and the mystique I am used to capturing there. I decided to learn the language of light and shadows inside my home where I was forced to be. Incorporating portraits of my captive family, I created images that express my disorientation, quietude, and confinement.
