As I was tending the garden, I noticed this used up lemon half on the compost heap. Drawn by the textures and patterns, I felt compelled to photograph it. As I was working on this image, the title quot;When Life Gives You Lemonsquot; came to mind. Musing on this, the thought came to mind that when life hands you a lemon, you do not always get to make lemonade. Sometimes, life simply hands you a lemon.
