ARTIST STATEMENT: The dark, moody and blurred landscape is a visual poem. It tells the story of the struggle to cope with uncertainty, fear and isolation during COVID-19, 2020. Life is giving us a lot to deal with and we each need to find our own way. I took a late afternoon walk and noticed a path I had never seen before. The sunlight and shadows drew me in and I began following it through the trees; there I found my way to escape, if only for a moment.
