Two Cubans shimmy down the 35’ high border fence gate in San Luis, Arizona on April 21, 2021. They said that after a 3-month journey they spontaneously scaled the barrier. “We couldn’t wait to land on American soil.” Each man knelt and said a prayer of thanks. The unidentified man at the right answered that they fled their homeland because of political threats and economic depression. “There’s little hope for a good life in Havana”. He has relatives in Miami. When border patrol agents arrived 10 minutes later, they asked for asylum."
