Brazilian siblings Evelyn - 8, Queren – 5 and David – 10, gaze at farm workers in a field beyond the brand new 30’ high border fence in San Luis, Arizona on May 2, 2021. The family of asylum-seekers walked across the dry Colorado River at San Luis Rio Colorado, Mexico and right up to the barrier that’s about 100 yards inside the U.S.A. They surrendered to Border Patrol agents. Welded on the steel pickets nearby is a little monument etched with the words, “Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America. This plaque commemorates the completion of 200 miles of new border wall system. June 23, 2020.
